After (temporarily?!) abandoning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Macquarie University and a promising career as a seat warmer at a multi-national real estate firm in Sydney Australia, Julie relocated oversized luggage and a mass of red curly hair to New Orleans, Louisiana. Despite on arrival, having no job or place of residence to speak of, Julie continues to reside in the city of perpetual festival twelve years later whilst her sanity is questioned by herself and others on a semi-regular basis.
She now finds amusement conversing with pre-recorded telemarketing calls, dancing badly on Frenchmen Street and strolling through the French Quarter trying to avoid street performers who haven’t bathed since the Bush Administration (Senior or Junior – take your pick), mule droppings and tarot card readers. And she won’t be offended if you stop reading now!
